Thirlmere Rural Retreat

Set within a peaceful rural setting surrounded by natural bushland, this project by Prestige Landscape Construction was designed to create a private, resort-style retreat for the homeowners. The brief was to deliver a space where the family could unwind, entertain, and spend quality time together away from the demands of everyday life. The result is a refined and functional outdoor environment that balances comfort, style, and practicality.

At the centre of the design is a 10m x 4.2m rectangular pool, finished with sandblasted marble coping and French pattern tiling, offering both durability and visual appeal. A standout feature is the curved transition from tiled areas to artificial turf, providing a seamless, low-maintenance solution with a unique design edge. The inclusion of a shallow splash zone adds a family-friendly element, creating a safe and enjoyable space for children.

Led by Troy Stolzenhein, the Prestige team brought the project together through a streamlined process, managing everything from planning through to construction with precision. Known for their expertise in pool surrounds and large-scale landscaping, the team ensured the project was delivered efficiently, allowing the clients to enjoy their new outdoor space shortly after completion.

The landscape design also responds thoughtfully to its surroundings, incorporating tropical-style planting that complements the natural bushland backdrop. A focus on low-maintenance and water-efficient solutions ensures the space remains practical while maintaining a high-end finish.
